How secure is the Skywave WiFi Network?

• The Gateway uses PGP encryption on any communication with the Authentication Server. No information is ever stored on the Gateway. The Authentication server uses 128-bit SSL Encryption and is verifed by a Thawte Certificate. Skywave passes your credit card information by 128-bit SSL Encrytpion to the servers at Authorize.net, a World-Leader in online credit card transactions, and never keeps any record of your number. We use your address to verify your credit card with Authorize.net and store your username and password to make it easy for you to renew your account with us. No information is ever shared with anyone but the Credit Card Transacting Company.
• Skywave does recommend that you use Anti-Virus Software and update it frequently.
• Personal Firewalls can be a good thing if you take the time to learn how to use them properly.
• You should use secure ports for your Email Application (will encrypt data instead of sending in plain text)
